Sandblasting Service

Sandblasting is our abrasive surface treatment service. Compressed air propels abrasive media at high speed onto the workpiece surface. The impact removes scale, rust, old coatings, and burrs. It also creates a uniform rough surface. Sandblasting is an important supporting service for our CNC machined and cast parts. Applications include casting surface cleaning after shakeout, deburring and surface roughening of machined parts, pre-treatment before coating to improve adhesion, and decorative matte finishing.

Surface Preparation and Finishing

Sandblasting is our abrasive surface treatment service. Compressed air propels abrasive media at high speed onto the workpiece surface. The impact removes scale, rust, old coatings, and burrs. It also creates a uniform rough surface. Sandblasting is an important supporting service for our CNC machined and cast parts. Applications include casting surface cleaning after shakeout, deburring and surface roughening of machined parts, pre-treatment before coating to improve adhesion, and decorative matte finishing. Our sandblasting service covers automotive parts, machinery manufacturing, medical devices, and consumer products. Every sandblasting job we deliver produces a clean, uniform surface ready for the next process.

Multiple Abrasive Options for Different Materials

Our sandblasting workshop has multiple units including manual booths, automatic turntable machines, and tumbling barrel machines. We use various abrasive media including silica sand, brown fused alumina, white fused alumina, glass beads, and stainless steel shots. We select the most suitable abrasive and grit size based on workpiece material and surface requirements. For softer materials like aluminum and copper alloys, we prefer glass beads or white fused alumina with lower hardness to avoid excessive material removal. For cast iron and steel parts, we use brown fused alumina or silica sand for efficient cleaning. Our sandblasting achieves various surface roughness levels from Ra3.2μm to Ra12.5μm. Uniformity is well controlled. Every sandblasting service we provide meets specific customer requirements.

Quality Control and Cleanliness Standards

Quality control for sandblasting focuses on surface uniformity, roughness, and dust residue. We use surface roughness comparators per ISO 8503 for visual comparison. Roughness testers measure Ra values to ensure compliance. After sandblasting, workpieces must go through compressed air blowing and ultrasonic cleaning. This removes residual dust and abrasive particles. This step is critical to prevent coating defects from particles left on blasted surfaces. We perform 100% visual inspection under 6000K light. No over-blasting (severe pitting), missed areas, or non-uniformity is allowed. Sandblasting is a value-added supporting service. Customers can move parts directly from CNC machining to sandblasting in our facility. Standard delivery is 2-5 days. We accept customer-supplied parts and one-stop machining plus sandblasting services. While sandblasting itself does not carry a warranty (it is a process step), we take responsibility for surface quality. If the surface is non-uniform or cleanliness is substandard, we rework it at no charge.
