Electroplating Service

Electroplating is our electrochemical metal deposition service. This process deposits a uniform metal coating on the workpiece surface. The coating provides decorative appearance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, or electrical conductivity. Our electroplating service offers multiple coating types including zinc plating (blue-white, yellow, black), nickel plating (bright nickel, dark nickel, electroless nickel), chrome plating (decorative chrome, hard chrome), tin plating, and copper plating. Applications span fasteners, hydraulic parts, automotive components, electrical connectors, and hardware products. Every electroplating job we deliver meets strict thickness and performance standards.

Our electroplating line uses automated program-controlled cranes. This ensures consistent process parameters for each step: degreasing → rinsing → activation → pre-plating → main plating → passivation → sealing → drying. We use all environmentally friendly plating chemicals (cyanide-free systems) compliant with RoHS and REACH. Coating thickness is our most critical control parameter. Zinc plating thickness is 8-15μm (72-240 hours neutral salt spray). Nickel plating thickness is 5-25μm. Chrome plating thickness is 0.2-5μm for decorative chrome and 10-50μm for hard chrome (hardness HV800-1000). Our X-ray fluorescence coating thickness gauge (XRF) performs non-destructive inspection on every batch. This ensures thickness and uniformity meet customer requirements.

Quality control for electroplating includes adhesion testing (bend test or cross-cut), salt spray testing (ASTM B117), hardness testing (micro Vickers), and visual inspection (no pinholes, pits, peeling, or color difference under 6000K light). We provide complete electroplating inspection reports including thickness distribution data, salt spray results, and appearance photos. Our electroplating is approved by multiple automotive and hardware customers. We have supplied them continuously for over 5 years. Electroplating is a supporting service we offer. Customers can move parts from CNC machining or casting directly to electroplating in our facility. Standard delivery is 5-10 days depending on coating type and quantity. We accept customer-supplied parts. Warranty is 1 year for coating peeling and adhesion issues.
