Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Forged Flanges
Stainless forged flange is our forged flange solution for corrosive and extreme temperature applications. These flanges offer excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and good low-temperature toughness. Compared to cast stainless flanges, forged stainless flanges have denser structure with no casting defects like porosity or shrinkage. They are ideal for marine pipeline systems (offshore platforms, ship piping), chemical plant piping, food and pharmaceutical clean piping, semiconductor ultra-pure water piping, and LNG low-temperature piping. Every stainless forged flange we produce delivers reliable performance in demanding environments.
Material Grades and Solution Treatment
Our stainless forged flanges follow ASME B16.5, DIN, EN, and JIS standards. Materials include A182 F304/F304L, F316/F316L, and F51 duplex stainless steel. Types cover weld neck flanges, slip-on flanges, blind flanges, and lap joint flanges. Sizes range from DN15 to DN600. Pressure ratings span Class 150 to Class 2500. Solution treatment is critical for quality assurance. After forging, stainless flanges must undergo solution treatment at 1040-1100°C followed by rapid water quenching. This dissolves carbides and creates fully austenitic structure for optimum corrosion resistance. Our heat treatment furnaces have automatic temperature recording for complete traceability.
Precision Machining and Corrosion Testing
Stainless forged flange machining precision is extremely high. Sealing surfaces are finish-machined on CNC vertical lathes. RF faces achieve Ra≤1.6μm roughness and ≤0.03mm flatness. RTJ ring groove faces achieve Ra≤0.8μm roughness with groove angle and depth strictly controlled per ASME B16.5. Bolt holes are machined on CNC drilling or machining centers with position accuracy ≤±0.15mm (DN100 and below) or ≤±0.3mm (above DN100). Quality control includes chemical composition analysis, intergranular corrosion testing per ASTM A262 E method, ferrite content testing for duplex stainless steel (35-65% ferrite), hardness testing (HB≤200), ultrasonic testing, and dye penetrant testing. Complete material test reports, intergranular corrosion reports, and dimensional inspection reports accompany every batch. Standard production is 30-50 days. We accept small-batch customization starting from 1 piece. Warranty is 3-5 years.
