Compared to cast valve bodies, forged valve bodies offer denser material structure, superior tensile strength, and better impact toughness. High-Pressure Forged Valve Bodies

 

Forged valve body is our forging solution for valve main structures. Compared to cast valve bodies, forged valve bodies offer denser material structure, superior tensile strength, and better impact toughness. They excel in high-pressure, high-temperature, and highly corrosive conditions. Our forged valve bodies serve oil and gas pipeline systems (Class 900-Class 2500 ultra-high-pressure valves), chemical reactor feed valves, hydrogenation unit valves, and nuclear power plant valves. Types include globe valve bodies, gate valve bodies, ball valve bodies, and check valve bodies. Every forged valve body we produce meets the most demanding service requirements.

Forging and Heat Treatment Process

 

Our forged valve body forming methods include closed-die forging for standard sizes with good volume consistency and open-die forging for large or small-batch non-standard sizes. Materials include ASTM A182 F304/F316 stainless steel, F11/F22 chrome-moly steel, and F51/F53 duplex stainless steel. After machining, valve bodies undergo solution treatment (stainless steel) or quenching + tempering (chrome-moly steel). This achieves optimal corrosion resistance and mechanical property balance. Our forged valve bodies reach DN400 and Class 2500. Wall thickness uniformity is within ±1.5mm. Every forged valve body we produce is built for critical service.

High-Precision Machining and NDT Inspection

 

Forged valve body machining precision is extremely high. Sealing surfaces (valve seat areas) are finish-machined on CNC boring machines. Flatness is within 0.01mm. Roughness reaches Ra≤0.4μm for metal-seated valves and Ra≤0.8μm for soft-seated valves. Flange sealing surfaces meet ASME B16.5 standards with RF roughness Ra≤1.6μm and RTJ ring groove roughness Ra≤0.8μm. Threaded holes are finish-machined with thread mills. Position accuracy is within Φ0.2mm. CMM inspects flange relative positions, sealing surface angles, and flow passage dimensions. Quality control follows strict ASME and API standards. Every valve body undergoes chemical composition analysis (spectrometer), hardness testing, ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), and dye penetrant testing (PT). Complete inspection records and reports accompany each valve body. Standard production is 45-60 days. We accept small-batch customization starting from 1 piece. Warranty is 3-5 years depending on service conditions.
