Carbon steel casting is ideal for high-load and impact-load applications. Our customers use these castings in heavy machinery, mining equipment, construction machinery, and rail transportation. Typical products include gearboxes, bearing housings, connecting rods, and brake arms. These components withstand high stress in demanding environments. Controlled Casting and Heat Treatment Process

 

Our carbon steel casting covers multiple grades from low-carbon to high-carbon steel. We work with ASTM A27, A216 WCB, AISI 1020, and AISI 1045 standards. Carbon steel castings are prone to shrinkage, segregation, and hot tears. We control pouring temperature between 1540°C and 1580°C. We control pouring speed carefully. We use reasonable risers and chills to ensure internal soundness. After casting, we normalize or anneal the parts to relieve stress and improve microstructure. Our heat treatment furnace handles single pieces up to 500kg. For machining, carbon steel casts differently than cast iron. We select the right tool materials and cutting parameters based on carbon content and heat treatment condition. For hardened carbon steel, we use coated carbide tools and lower cutting speeds. This extends tool life and maintains surface quality. Our CNC equipment consistently achieves IT7–IT8 dimensional accuracy. For critical areas like bearing mounting holes, we use jig grinding for IT6 accuracy and Ra≤0.4μm surface finish.

Full Traceability and Complete Documentation

 

Quality control is essential in carbon steel casting production. During casting, we use a spectrometer for online composition analysis. We only pour after the composition is within the standard range. Heat treatment furnaces have automatic recorders that monitor temperature and holding time. Every heat treatment record is complete and traceable. Finished products are sampled per ISO 2859-1. Critical dimensions are inspected with a CMM. We are IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certified. Every carbon steel casting has a complete quality file. This includes the heat number, heat treatment batch, and machining records. We provide one-stop service from drawing review, casting design, mold development, blank casting, heat treatment, to precision machining. Delivery takes 45 to 60 days (including mold development). We accept orders starting from 1 piece. Volume orders receive tiered pricing discounts. Standard warranty is 1 year. Extended warranty is available for specific applications.
