Stainless Steel Casting
Stainless steel casting is one of our most technically demanding product categories. Stainless steel contains high chromium (≥10.5%) and nickel. These elements provide excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and low-temperature toughness. Our stainless steel casting covers austenitic grades (304, 316), martensitic grades (410, 420), and duplex stainless steel (2205). Applications include food and beverage equipment, medical devices, marine engineering, chemical equipment, and sanitary valves.

Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel Castings
Stainless steel casting is one of our most technically demanding product categories. Stainless steel contains high chromium (≥10.5%) and nickel. These elements provide excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and low-temperature toughness. Our stainless steel casting covers austenitic grades (304, 316), martensitic grades (410, 420), and duplex stainless steel (2205). Applications include food and beverage equipment, medical devices, marine engineering, chemical equipment, and sanitary valves. Every stainless steel casting we produce meets strict material and quality standards.
Specialized Casting and Heat Treatment Process
Stainless steel casting is significantly more difficult than carbon steel or ordinary alloy steel casting. Stainless steel has a high melting point, poor thermal conductivity, and high shrinkage rate. These properties make it prone to hot tears and sand sticking. We use alkaline phenolic resin sand molding. We optimize gating and riser design with increased feeding capacity. We use dedicated stainless steel deoxidizers. Pouring temperature is controlled at 1580-1620°C. Our infrared thermometer monitors temperature in real time. After casting, we immediately solution treat austenitic grades or quench and temper martensitic grades. Our heat treatment furnaces use PLC automatic control with temperature uniformity of ±5°C. This stainless steel casting process ensures optimal material properties.
Precision Machining and Quality Verification
Machining stainless steel casting is extremely challenging. Stainless steel work-hardens quickly. It has low thermal conductivity and causes rapid tool wear. Our approach uses specialized inserts with sharp edges and positive rake angles. We run at lower cutting speeds (50-60% of carbon steel speeds) with smaller feed rates. High-pressure internal cooling directs coolant to the cutting zone. This prevents overheating and work hardening. We machine stainless steel valve bodies, pump housings, and flanges with stable IT7 dimensional accuracy. Surface roughness reaches Ra≤1.6μm, and for food-grade applications, Ra≤0.8μm. Quality inspection for stainless steel casting goes beyond conventional dimensions. We perform ferrite content testing for austenitic grades (controlling ferrite between 5-20% for corrosion resistance and weldability). We conduct intergranular corrosion tests per ASTM A262 and pitting tests. All records and reports accompany the shipment. Our stainless steel casting holds CE, CB, and UL certifications. We export to EU and North American markets. Standard warranty is 1 year. Extended warranty is available for special applications. Our customers include chemical equipment manufacturers and food machinery exporters. They consistently rate our quality control highly. We accept orders starting from 1 piece. Volume orders receive tiered pricing. Send us your drawing or sample. We will respond with DFM evaluation and quotation within 24 hours.
